Nicake Timeline December 2024
Finally, we reach the end of 2024. December was an especially significant month for Nicola and Jake fans, with several long awaited firsts and some of the clearest moments of the year finally appearing.
3 December 2024
Nicola is photographed at the Will and Harper screening at The Mayfair Hotel. Although Jake is not photographed at this event, he later follows Cel Spellman, who was also at the screening. Because of this, fans suspect Jake accompanied Nicola, but there is no hard evidence to support this.
5 December 2024
Nicola hosts a Kate Spade Arms event as part of her brand partnership with Kate Spade. Days later, her makeup artist Neil posts a photo from the event of Nicola. Fans notice the ring she's wearing appears to be the letter “J” and matches a ring on Catbird's website.
Recall in the October timeline a fan sighting of Nicola and Jake in Catbird buying a "J" pendant. Could this new ring be what the fan saw them buying?
7 December 2024
Nicola hosts a Christmas party at her house. Luke F shares a pic of Cilla the pom and Cilla's IG reposts a picture of Camilla and Cilla from the same party. Other guests confirmed in attendance include Louisa, Calvin, Doug, Dylan, Patrick, Kathy Clarke, and others.
On the same night, within seconds of each other, Nicola and Jake share stories from a recent date night.

Nicola and Jake attend a screening of Queer together. There are no official photos of Jake from the event, and he makes no public appearance on the carpet. However, both Nicola and Jake can be seen in the background of a fan’s photo taken with another actress outside the venue. The moment is brief and accidental, but enough to confirm that Jake was there. Once again, he is present but deliberately out of the spotlight, attending events with Nicola while staying just out of view.

Nicola posts Part 2 of her end of year photo dump. Of the 20 photos, fans identify at least 7 that appear to have been taken by Jake, and 2 that are clearly photos of Jake himself.
The collection spans several key moments from the year. There is an intimate coffee photo taken in New York, a warm group shot with her co stars in Malta, a photo of Siobhan with Jake’s friend Tyler, and an image of Nicola holding her TIME cover. One photo shows a man in a Guinness shirt, later confirmed to be Jake after Nicola tags him days later amidst speculation on who the man could be. Another image is from their December date night.
The dump also includes a photo with her friend Keri in New York, a shot of Jake swimming off a boat in Malta, a casual pub photo of Nicola and Jack, and a final image in which Nicola directly tags “jakesfilmaccount.”
The post becomes one of the clearest personal glimpses into how intertwined their year had been.
Nicola shares the post in her stories with the dark matte heart fans theorize Nicola uses to relate a post to Jake.

Another photo from the post shows Jake wearing a hoodie that belongs to Nicola, a small but telling detail and another sign of them sharing a wardrobe.

Jake hosts a New Year’s Eve dinner with his friends at Nicola’s house. Nicola is not present, which immediately sparks questions about where she might be. But even without her there, the fact that Jake is hosting his own friends in her home suggests to many fans that this may no longer be just Nicola’s place, but his as well.
Looking back from December, it is hard not to be struck by how far things had shifted in just a few months. In July, nothing was public. By the end of the year, they were posting each other, tagging each other, appearing together with friends, and fans (the rational ones) could no longer deny the seriousness of Nicola and Jake's relationship.
Normal people who actually like Nicola have no need to spin conspiracies, create endless false narratives or harass her and her loved ones. We just support her work and her personal happiness, again because we actually like her. Many even like Jake’s work a lot too, and go to support him. Only lukolas would spin something like attending public and ticketed events, that people are expected to patronage, into something unacceptable. In truth, many more lukolas went to watch Nic live and in fact terrorize her at sd than whoever they consider a ‘jakola’.
It’s clear that any decent fan respects Nicola and Jake’s privacy, their personal life and boundaries. And these are not people who actively dislike Nic (aka lukolas). You know how I know this? Because you never hear from real fans other than to hype Nic, her work and her happiness.
It’s way past time for others in the wider fandom (Polins, fans of both, etc) to exercise a tiny bit of common sense and not view reality v lukola as the same. Maybe then there would be no need to refute qanon levels of delusion in this silly fandom. Spelling out the obvious so often is a bore.
