The story behind this sketch has to do with my mother wishing for a baby girl when she was pregnant with me in 1983. My parents were in France when they saw and purchased this painting of a little girl holding sunflowers that looks just like this sketch I’ve remade. I’m in the process of remaking my own version of this painting. I guess my mother had that early intuition to spark her baby girl’s interest and love for art (before I was even a person).
