I have just had a forensic look at the contracts awarded for the controversial Covid-19 contact tracing app which is now being trialed in the Isle of Wight.

Among the surprises are the plan to allow a big Swiss company Zuhkle Technologies AG to take over its management and allow access for overseas engineers…

NHSX Government contact tracing app : First reactions (Twitter)

The first thing I read was  “battery-saving Bluetooth low energy” (from the “app-permissions” page).

This is some top-notch bullshit, spinning Bluetooth as some sort of energy-saving tech boon when in reality its been around for like 20 years!
