In DnD, rogues for example are typically faster, and fighters tend to be stronger and more difficult to kill, and so usually can withstand more. What would be ways for other classes to counteract or outplay a mage in this world?
so while we are inspired by DnD and other rpgs, we are not exactly based on it, so there are differences. in our verse, magic is done through chants. you can read more of that on our MAGIC page. this leaves the chanters ( or mages ) vulnerable when they haven’t finished their chants yet, which is why they’re usually placed in rearguard position in battle formations. in a one on one battles, i would think that anyone with greater speed ( this includes shadow and ranger class ) would be able to do some real damage to mages especially when paired with guardian class, which does have high defense and can act as a tank to absorb the mage’s attacks.
