We at MARE decided to create a way for foster youth to express their own unique identity and discover a sense of empowerment in their adoption journey. It's a project we call Fostering Creativity. * With the help of a local group home, we gave participating youth a chance to express themselves through art, drawing and painting what each child considered meaningful to them. The art we received back was joyful, thought-provoking, cute and compelling–a wonderful look into each unique child. * May is National Foster Care Awareness Month, and throughout this month we will be sharing pieces of art, photos, and writings from Fostering Creativity.
