Neyire is solid in her arms, but lacks warmth. Not particularly unusual, with her being a fuschia. With her moirail more or less alright, Tsubuu looks over the sea instead. She’s never been able to control herself so readily in her dreams before- but she knows she’s asleep. There’s no doubt that this is just the weirdest dream she’s had yet. Tsubuu spots someone out in the distance and steps forward to block Neyire from sight out of habit- but as soon as she moves, she finds herself waking up in the captain’s quarters instead.

Dream forgotten, she goes about her night as usual until the seas start to seem just a little too familiar. The ocean is too vast and her mind must be playing tricks on her, so she ends her day the same as always. Within mere moments of falling asleep she finds herself in the same spot as the day before, with Neyire just as out of character as before. The figure in the distance is closer- though the land seems to actually just be a precursor to where the ocean must drop suddenly. Tsubuu’s all too familiar with deep spots and usually she avoids them. Something about this spot calls to her, perhaps the siren’s call of a sea-blessed queen.

She awakes in a cold sweat, remaining arm outstretched to the ceiling.

Once is an oddity, twice is enough to share. Tsubuu tells Neyire everything she’s seen so far, only to find her moirail has some vague recollections of it herself. That only makes Tsubuu more concerned but she can’t deny the call of the sea- pushing her further along. Each night they move towards the open ocean that calls to her, each day they share a dream where the figure gets closer until finally they’re within speaking distance. A seadweller, though Tsubuu’s familiar enough to know there’s something different about them. Something haunting? Something cold. Something lurking like the dive of the ocean behind them.
