oh man… 😔😔😔😔 meb ur killing me… altho they have won the confederations cup together in 2013… still never won a major intl trophy together and unless thiago stays for the copa and they somehow win that… the fact that brazil won the 2019 copa without ney makes me so 🥲🥲🥲 (altho I’m soooo proud of gabi jesus for that so… I’m not that sad sorry ney)

I just think abt how thiago has always had full faith in ney even when it feels like sometimes he’s the only one in the brazil nt who believes in him so strongly. it’s like he saw something in that 19 year old who debuted for brazil all those years ago and he can’t let that go… when he looks at ney he sees something golden and he can’t understand why other ppl don’t see it too…

I mean Neymar debuted for Brazil at 18 and Thiago became captain 3 years later. He’s been his captain for almost his entire international career. They’ve literally played together since Neymar was a kid.

Idk it’s like they’ve watched each other get older but they’re living two separate lives cause Thiago is so much older and Ney is so much younger. But they just can’t seem to win together no matter how hard they try. They’re like parallel lines always running alongside each other. Or like the sea and the shore, ebbing and flowing, pushing and pulling.

They’re both strong headed and en up bumping heads sometimes but they still care about each other and love each other ugh. Makes me so soft, it’s heartbreaking.
