Last Saturday it was the official Chinatown celebration of the Lunar New Year. I caught wind of it late and by accident. I was having a text conversation with Lisa and she mentioned she was headed in that direction. I picked up what she was throwing down got myself dressed and was at the parade site just as it was finishing up. I caught the last car and float with a few dancing dragons at the end. I kept up the conversation with Lisa but the area is pretty big and I’m pretty lazy given I was in total rest mode and hour before hand, and we’ll, Hop Luis was gone. I will miss the insult bar tenders of Hop Luis forever. They were hilarious and was always a great way to end the Lunar New Year’s Parade. I always get a kick out of the Bruce Lee sculpture. I forgot to selfie with though 🤦🏼♂️. This year we open with the year of the Rabbit and I’m looking forward to it. @lachinatown #chinatownla #lunarnewyear #lunarnewyear2023 #yearoftherabbit #newyearparade (at Chinatown, Los Angeles) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoLSdJcPApj/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
