New Year, New Headshots!
I am in the Real Estate industry, its kind of a family thing? My mom had me putting up her open house signs when I was little. My partner got me into the family team by doing marketing, and that is how my biological family is (and has been) making the bulk of their money over the years. These days, I do leasing and selling and property management and everything in between. I started though, in 2018 when I was dating my partner/helping the office run things as the “front desk bitch”. Man, is it just me or does that feel further away than it is?
Besides the fact that I do photography as well, its hard to take a good picture of yourself? I like the challenge of it personally...but its not easy. Most people go to an “actual photographer” every couple of years to get their photo updated. Which works more for men than women. If you are like me, and completely cut off your hair after you paid for head shots...well it becomes a DIY moment. Iphones are getting amazing at helping the DIY photographer. I might be getting the year wrong, but 2019 is when I went pixie. I did not have new pictures taken that year, but I was also waiting to see “If I stuck with it”. Never going back now.

Crazy to think that girl is me, used to be me, compared to the crazy inked up four color pixie hair person I am now. I think its funny to see how one changes over the years. I never really liked how I never seemed to age, and yet now I can see what everyone was saying in saying “thats a blessing”. Its also funny because I can’t seem to do the straight forward view on my own well, I really do favor a 3/4 angle. I think, no matter what profession you do, its important to have a clean professional outward image. You never know when you are going to need a new job or have a major life change.
It’s been a year and a half since my accident and #fingeramputations today. After being told I might need to change my vocation, here I am getting new headshots for the Creature Tech website to show next to my name as a Sculptural Fabricator. What doesn’t kill you makes you stubborn, and I really hope that that tenacity serves me well in the artistic industry in the future.
