things were... peachy.
the weather was agreeable, the halls were but a dull buzz with the first batch of students trickling in, and his schedule was fairly aviary, but even if the opposite was true, owen was too chemically influenced to know any better. he would start the school year just like he ended the one prior - and a decent amount in between, back that’s all semantics. he was pretty sure he was in the right corridor, but if not, what was the harm in a leisurely walk before he had any real time restraints? a few paces down the line he even found himself whistling a jaunty tune as he strode along, too wrapped up in the bridge in notice the pair of eyes on him across the hall.
Imogen wasn’t sure how to feel about move in day. She knew for sure that this was better than last year, when she started just after Christmas break. Everyone already had friends and knew their roommates and Imogen had been a lonely, nervous wreck. She had only made a couple friends, and still felt like she didn’t fully belong with her classmates. At her old school she had been excluded for being weird. At Degrassi, she felt like she was too bubbly to fit in with everyone. She managed to make a few friends along the way, though, and was hopeful that this year would be better. She just wished that someone would come along and help her unpack. Maybe making a new friend or reuniting with an old one would help her feel at ease.
“YEAH, I TOTALLY blew all the money I made over the summer on this,” she said, holding up a nintendo switch to show the other. “but, I really think it’s worth it. definitely beats doing nothing all day, right?”
Jake had been at Degrassi for a few hours and was already bored. The classes, the same students, he wanted, needed, craved change, or adventure, at least a coffee, perhaps, He was just going to leave. Jake knew the consequences that could happen, but he didn’t care, he was out. After weaving through the halls, being careful not to get caught by anyone. He was actually slowly making his way out of Degrassi, although a little paranoid, until he got caught, by them. “Shit...” He muttered.
