Here's a quick #newspapercollage for a robot I imagined as I listened to a Starwars podcast. Something about the two mirrors over a pair of sinks in an ad immediately reminded me of #k2s0 and I started searching for parts to design this droid. Collage Further Experimentation
I wanted to explore the idea of adding to and image and layering. HereΒ I experimented with printing images on types of different paper. Above are some of the more successful ones and others were eaten by the printer. I feel that colour onto text comes out with a clearer images but after digitally editing the image the black and white print has this vintage appearance which is elegant.
I enjoyed this experimental process and great for quick outcomes but Id like to challenge this idea further possible looking at layering 3D on different materials such as wood or fabric. I feel this step was tiny step in the right direction but there is much more to be explored.Β
