Does anyone else feel like this generation of Sikhi is probably the closest we’ve had to getting it right in a while? I don’t know if its just me and the people around me but I feel like so many more people are asking more questions about sikhi, we’re boycotting useless traditions like rakhri and actually beginning to fall in love with our teachings all over again. Growing up I felt there was a clear divide between the Amrit dhari Sikhs and moneh but I truly feel as though we’re mixing so much more and accepting people on all stages of their journey. I feel optimistic.. And this may be short lived and not the same for everyone but I seriously see a change, especially here in uk. .. And the most ironic thing is that growing up all I ever heard from aunts and uncles was that we’d become way too western and won’t sit still in a gurudwara let alone follow sikhi.. I hope we prove them all wrong
