Photoreportage: Playing to their strengths - Political posters 

I honestly don’t think I’ve seen a single poster for either the main centre-right New Democracy or centre-left PASOK parties and believe me I’ve been looking. That probably speaks volumes in and of itself.

Here is a mix of posters and newspapers adverts to give you a flavour of the Greek election campaign from the big four parties and one anti-privatisation poster:

PHOTO 1: Conservative New Democracy: ‘Action so we can safely again in our cities.’ Proposals include ‘Taking back our cities from ghettos of illegal immigrants and fast-tracking deportation procedures.’

PHOTOS 2: Socialist PASOK: ‘No Greek should feel that they are alone and without help during this crisis’.

PHOTO 3: Communist Party of Greece: ‘Strong KKE – Out of the EU with popular rule – Complete debt write-off.

PHOTO 4: Communist Party of Greece: ‘Counter-attack against the new storm that they are bringing. Strong KKE so that people will win.’

PHOTO 5: Left Coalition SYRIZA: ‘They decided without us, we move forward without them. Overthrowal in Greece sending a message to Europe.’
