Harry: Câmon, itâs not that big a deal.
Alex: Itâs-âŚ
Harry: I wonât tell anyone, if thatâs what youâre worried about.
Alex: You think thatâs what Iâm worried about?
Harry: Girlâs gossip-.. I dunno.
[Alex grimaced as she attempted to wriggle free once more, though Harry kept her pinned against him]
Alex: God-.. leave me alone!
[Alexâs blood ran cold as Harryâs grip loosened, a glazed look of confusion replacing his drunken charm]
Levi: I think no means no, dudeâŚ
[Harry blinked as soon as Levi approached, snapping back into himself jarringly]
Harry: I was leaving anyway, dickhead.
Levi: Yeah, yeah.
Alex: Thanks.
Levi: Heâs just drunk, I wouldnât-âŚ
Alex: Itâs fine.
[Levi squinted dubiously before re-joining the party, swiftly disappearing among a sea of blurred faces. Alex placed her sweaty palms against the cool window and forced herself to take a deep breath]
[She hadnât meant to force Harry to leave her alone, she was just defending herself, wasnât she? She hadnât said anything bad, nothing thatâd hurt him or anyone else, had she..? No, it was fine. Everything was-âŚ]
Alex: What?
Bianca: I said boys are such cavemen, right?
Alex: Oh, I guessâŚ
Bianca: Want another drink?
Alex: Uh-.. soon, Iâll be right back.
Bianca: âKay.
âŚ
[Robin mumbled in his stupor as Alex clambered over him, stifling a sneeze as she safely smushed herself between him and the ancient, musty sofa]
Alex: Are you drunk?
Robin: Maaybe.
Alex: So, I take it youâre not having a great time..?
Robin: Nu-uh.
Alex: Me neither.
Robin: Mmh-.. we couldâve done anything elseâŚ
