New Arcade class blog
A switch controller - Nodding controller
When we play game we think we are a character that we control. However, most of the arcade games and casual games use third-person perspective camera angle. Even though a character is controlled, a player seems to be outsider. So, I came up with idea that we are a boss who watching and controlling a worker. The final controller piece is a necklace that using nodding gesture - means confirm, agree or even allow - to control a character in a game. In the other word, player presses button by chin. I used canabalt in the playtest but the controller would fit to many other games that have mission-based narrative.
