30 years ago I was in a terrible car accident. The 🚙 rolled down an embankment and landed upside down at the bottom of a river. It was the heart of winter and late at night. The incident that still haunts me today was the most terrifying I’ve ever had to endure. Can you imagine how frightened I must have been, water rushed in through the tailgate. I can still feel the water rising. Being upside down and strapped in by my seat belt it was my head the first to be engrossed by the water 💦 and then my torso and in that order. But then the real horror of my situation set in. I was going to die, I began panicking because I couldn’t find the catch to release my seatbelt. There was no way I could hold my breath indefinitely and soon I would be meeting my maker. I would not be alive today had I not reminded myself of my scuba diving days in the Red Sea. Two diving accidents when I ran out of air 100’ feet below the surface and I buddy breathed to the surface I remembered the words that saved my life if in a dangerous situation, ‘DO NOT PANIC’. Three years later I would suffer another even more dangerous accident a Haemorhorax losing 4/5ths of my body’s blood through my left lung. I had a very bad fall at home smashed up my back. Sometimes in life shit hits the fan when you least expect. Life must go on at all costs. My children know why I will never give up.
