A weirdly touching song sprung from a musical summary of 'The Goonies' that's carried by an odd undertow of working-class consciousness. I started thinking to myself, "No, not for me, this is corny and too twee", only to find myself calmly sinking into the chorus, those objections slowly going still. "It's their time. The movie itself isn't really my thing and outside of having a crush on Martha Plimpton, I don't think I gave it much thought at the time (I was 11 btw).
