Wow! I didn't know people cared about this fic! I am forever crey thank you. Well anon, what had happened was...my old computer broke (my hard drive is still intact thou so never fear) so I can't get a hold of my files until I get a new one of my own (...I have to use my sister's shitty ass PC in the mean time) and I was in the middle of writing chap 2. I have a bit that I had emailed to myself and I can give you that :D
The sky opens its gates and Korra can feel the sweep and dip of decent, like the crest and fall of Ikki’s glider. She clutches to herself, the same way she clutches to Oogi trying to displace the imbalance of flying because, flying is air and air isn’t natural. Right? Air is foreign. But, in that moment she remembers the air to brace her fall. Wind wisps leave her hands reluctantly, unyielding to her aggressive touch. “Airbend.” She hears her voice command, desperate as her body comes closer to the ground. The breeze pities her and expands throughout the space around her to soften her fall. Korra opens her eyes, sees her hands pushing the concrete, that smells too much like exhaust from city Satomobiles, before she hears the world fall into place around her. She feels Bolin’s heavy breaths as he blabbers out apologies to Asami for softening his fall with her back, feels the wind wash through Asami’s hair when she brushes him off. Then she is aware of Mako’s fingers pressing into the small of her back when she allows him to pull her up on her feet, molding whimsical patterns into her flesh. Korra sighs into his touch slightly, allowing herself a small reprieve before she pushes away from him. Crossing her arms and closing herself off again. Not yet, she thinks. Not yet.
