        “ most days I don't recognize me. ”

       don’t say it.   one glance around the hotel room,   cracking a giant smile before looking at his wife.            “   want to make another baby?   ”           //            @neurcqueen​   !!

       wet towel is set on the side table,   hanging slightly over the back of the sofa.   he’d be yelled at over that by amelia’s sisters later,   but right now it’s the last thing on his mind.   he’s quiet for a moment as he stares at the pouring rain hitting against the window.   shifts just a little to get more comfortable on the sofa,   arm wrapping loosely around his girlfriend.   his free hand is brought up to her head,   fingers running slowly through her hair.   the smile on his lips is hard to contain.      “   so,   got any names picked out yet?   ”      //      @neurcqueen​.

       link lets out a sigh,   one hand resting on his hip as the other motions in the air.   he’s a surgeon and yet he’s against this whole rest thing for himself.   even if it’s exactly what he needs.      “   amelia . . .   ”      another sigh,      “   look, i don’t need to lay down.   it’s our day off.   i want to spend it doing something other than going back to bed.   unless that involves you joining me and doing the exact opposite of resting.   ”      and then all at once the dizziness kicks back in.   he leans his back against the wall,   rubbing his forehead.      “   alright.   fine.   i guess ten minutes wouldn’t hurt.   ”

       jo’s staring straight ahead at the wall in front of her,   trembling hand fighting to keep hold of her phone.   a small percentage of her is willing herself to keep it together.  but how could you keep your emotions in check,   when your whole world had just been taken from you ?   there’s no knowledge of who had joined her at the nurses station,   she can’t bring herself to look away from the wall.   she was honestly starting to scare some of the nurses around her.      “   alex.   he ─   uh,   he ─   ”      just say it.   nothing can ever bring him back.   not even holding it in.      “   alex is dead.   ”      voice is drained of emotion,   but the tears are already burning her eyes.      //      @neurcqueen​ asked me to share my pain.
