This is part 2, here's part 1. Rules I played by: faces only (nothing else in consideration). I had to already have a screen shot saved of said pair showcasing faces. (So I am certainly missing some.) Presented without comment.

This needs to be addressed cause someone brought it up.
Hehehehehhehehehehehehhehehehehhehehehehehehehhehehehhe. I want the drama! Also this may be subjected to recency (I this is how it's spelt) bias.
Net's chemistry with either JJ or James.
JJ is very human but cartonish.
James is realistic but dramatic.
Net is a very earthy actor. By this I mean, he is very genuine with his acting and emotions. Down to earth without the need for going over the top.
JJ gives us more smiles while allowing us to think and sit with his rage and regrets.
Had James played Klao/Nakhun, there would have been a lot of tears and sadness.
Both actors would have brought different aspects of the book out. While reading it, I did picture it as James. But after seeing the series, I can't see James saying those lines or having that much power in the performance. Sometimes I still see James in the book, but JJ confronting the farang, PERFECTION!
This is not out of lack of belief in James's english capabilities... it the sass type.
James is catty and pouty.
JJ barks and bites.
That scene played by James, when I pictured it was almost coy and offhanded? In the series, it nearly starts a fight and that's exactly what I wanted. Confrontation with consequences and JJ played into that well. Wouldnt bow out of a fight, not even once!
As for chemistry with Net... James went for the sultry gaze and was far more feminine. None of which is bad, thats what Bed Friend called for.
James's expressions would have shown that he was never allowing a moment of reprieve or fun. His eyes would be elsewhere as would be his mind. "Solve the past." Running a loop in his head without a break for an honest smile.
I would have to lean more on JJ for overall. Because there is a lot more to screen chemistry rather just the smutty stuff. There's longing, pining, tension. All of which James had, but to me, it seemed only JJ could make the smiles feels unburdened. The laughs genuinely painful instead of haunted. The scenes outside of the bedroom had weight and meaning. Every glance, internal monologue, and cheeky remark had depth. It showed that Klao was not just a character that revolved around his past, it showed Nakhun's discovery and adaptation into this new world he eventually loved. In his time as Klao, he smiled, he loved, and most importantly, he lived.
Do I think this had any influence from James' mentioned mental state? Yes. Which is why he was perfect for Bed Friends. It was a melodrama.
LUAT is not only melodramatic (or at least isn't written so for the series, the book is rather dramatic and not as light)
I'm very thankful for JJ for bringing this book to life (it was my first Thai novel so it was very dear to me) and cannot wait for the upcoming series. It will be a good test to see how he fairs in a melodramatic slice of life piece, especially the quiet moments where everything hinges on micro-expressions. The fact that he is also a BL writer himself is very promising. I, myself, am an aspiring writer and he is a fantastic role model for multi-talented individuals.
This also shows that should a pairing break up MAYBE WE DON'T BE SO FUCKING HUNG UP ON IT?! I am still very pissed at how the fans reacted especially on account for the reasons.
Discussions in the comments, be polite. If you want to argue with me, do it! But do it civilly.
Which of Net's BL partners has better chemistry with him?
James (Bed Friend)
JJ (Love Upon a Time & The Next Prince)
Neither
Just show me results
Remaining time: 2 days 17 hours
And I only ask because he got a second chance at getting partnered, so there’s a lot riding on this one...no pun intended.
Plus, Net and JJ are slated to shoot another one called 30 Days of Us, which is a KBL-style drama that's about giving a longterm relationship that's gone stale a second chance.
