How It Works
Step 1: Join The Event
Join our event Discord Server (mandatory, linked above.)ย
Step 2: Claim An Idol
In the event Discord Server, claim which Kpop idol you wish to make your moodboard for.ย
To keep the assignment process straightforward, you may only claim an idol from the following groups:ย

Step 3: Create A Moodboard
Theme: winter or holiday; can be subtle or super festiveโyour choice!
Feature: your claimed kpop male idol.
Format: 9 photos that are combined into a single image (3x3 grid) for easy sharingย
Submit: send your moodboard in the appropriate server channel.
Step 4: Moodboard Assignment
Once all moodboards are submitted, participants will complete a fic preference form to assist the Event Leader with the assignments.
Each participant will receive a DM from the Event Leader, containing your assigned moodboardโkeep it a secret!
Step 5: Write Your Fic
Inspo: use your assigned moodboard as inspiration while writing.
Length: ideally between 500 words (minimum) and 3k to keep it simple, but there is no maximum word count limit.
Content: story should clearly connect to the moodboard and must include smut.
Step 6: Share The Gift
Share your fic with the moodboard to surprise its creator, whom you tag when posting.
Use the hashtag #KSS Frost & Fire Gift Exchange and also tag @ksmutsociety on your post.
Drop your fic link in the event server so it can be added to the masterlist.

Nov 12: Moodboards due; assignment form opens
Nov 14: Assignment form closes
Nov 16: Moodboard assignments sent out
Nov 16-Dec 20: 6-week writing period

Disclaimers
Claiming: Claiming works on a first-come-first-serve basis: the earlier you join, the more choices youโll have to pick from. Each individual idol may be claimed twice. Please remember that certain idols may have already reached the maximum number of claims, so we encourage you to remain open-minded if your bias is already taken! NCT Wish member Sakuya is excluded due to age.ย
Dropping out: There is no drop-out period for this event. With the minimum word count being 500 words, there should be absolutely no reason you are unable to follow through with your responsibility of creating a gift for a fellow writer. By joining this event, you are committing to full participation: creating a moodboard, and also writing a fic inspired by an assigned moodboard.
Content specifics: All fics must include pairing, word count, genre(s), smut warnings, any relevant trigger warnings, and an 18+ or 21+ rating. Smut is required but may be as light or detailed as you prefer. Our spice-o-meter can serve as a smut-level guide; all chili levels are welcome. Please ensure your fic clearly aligns with the moodboard you receive, and remember that it is intended as a gift: do not include major triggers, reuse previous ideas or drafts, or apply your gift fic toward another event, project, or network.
