NESYA presents: PUT THE FRIES IN THE BAG.
Darkwave pop at finest
I do not rise. I molt.
NESYA doesn’t just make music; she catalogs survival at the intersection of religious trauma, bipolar disorder, and high-speed chaos. Born in Nebraska and raised as a preacher’s daughter, she spent her youth hiding a goth heart she wasn't allowed to show while surviving trials of sexual abuse, infidelity and social isolation. After moving to Sacramento at age 12, the alternative and darkwave scenes finally offered a mirror to the "baby bat" within.
Her origin story is as singular and grit -flecked as her sound: recording her first projects on a "kitty pillow" in a cramped closet using Apple headphones and free YouTube beats. While working as an assistant teacher and managing five TikTok accounts, NESYA built a cult following of "weird alternative girls" before her breakout single "Delulu" exploded into a 38-million-stream rocketship that scaled the Billboard charts and soundtracked major global brands.
But fame arrived amidst a storm. As "Delulu" took off, NESYA was navigating a traumatic and abusive marriage to a much older man who turned out to be a fugitive. Now, after a high-profile divorce and a hard-won split from a label that didn't understand her vision, she has found her home. NESYA is the flagship artist for Double Down, the new label founded by record executive Evan Lipschutz in partnership with Virgin Music.
Reclaiming her power, NESYA is stepping into her "Vampire Siren" era—a rebranding defined by a "darkwave-meets-trap-pop" sound that demands you cry while you dance.
The lead single from her forthcoming album, "Put The Fries In The Bag," is a masterclass in turning trauma into absurdity. Produced by industrial/alternative wizard Kill Dave, the track juxtaposes visceral lyrics about prophecy and scars against a deadpan, chaotic hook.
"I wrote it in the middle of a messy divorce and betrayal," NESYA says. "The song turned that chaos into something fun. It’s proof that the 'dumbest' idea can be the thing that makes you want to dance again—or just eat some fries."
NESYA’s music follows a trajectory from heartbreak to detachment to total empowerment. She is filling a void in the industry as one of the few Black alternative artists seamlessly blending post-punk aesthetics with house and R&B sensibilities.
For the wounded, the "quietly insane," and those stuck in the matrix, NESYA isn't just an artist—she’s the reckoning.

Just got into the artist NESYA and listening to her music feels like listening to not only rage, but yearning incarnate 🥀
Listening to her doesn’t even feel angsty for me. Somehow very calming
