“ What ? “
Admin asked, confused, before noticing the bug on the other’s bag. It was a ladybug, nothing that could harm you like a bee would. He smiled a little.
“ Oh, a ladybug … must be good luck for you, huh ? “
However, he noticed the other didn’t seem too on board with his question. He seemed… deathly afraid of it. Suddenly, he realized.
“ O- Oh ! Do you have a bug phobia ? D- Don’t worry, I’ll get rid of it. “
The brunet looked at the ladybug for a moment. He didn’t want to touch it for fear of accidentally killing it, so he looked through his own bag and eventually found a small scrap of paper. He nudged the ladybug onto the paper and placed it on the open windowsill. Eventually, the ladybug flew away. He sighed and looked toward Kusuo again.
“ There, it’s gone. So, um … are you okay now ? “
Lucky. How any bug, no matter their coloring, is supposed to be perceived as signs of good fortune is a mystery to Kusuo. He can barely tolerate that most of them are necessary for maintaining balance in the world’s ecosystems. So, no, he does not see this as ‘lucky’.
...But maybe there’s some fortune to be found in the fact that the stranger was willing and able to solve Kusuo’s problem for him. As soon as the bug is off of his bag, Kusuo releases a breath he hadn’t even realized he was holding (and spares a moment to fix the chair--as far as he can tell, no one had noticed that it was damaged in the first place, and he’d rather keep it that way).
Kusuo stands and rights the chair, turning when he’s addressed by the other. He nods before offering a sight and quick bow--despite his apathetic expression, he is grateful for the teen’s intervention.
