Dissecting: Edens Zero Ch. 145-149
Honestly, this fight confused me a bit. If Homura kept slicing the mirrors they would become smaller mirrors that Milani could go into, right? But, then she is not just in one mirror she's in multiple mirrors so on Ch. 145 pg. 8, it wouldn't matter if Homura struck down that mirror piece because Milani would already be in other mirrors.
Therefore, Milani should be much stronger. The only way I could see Homura defeating Milani is if she disintegrated Milani's mirrors instead of shattering them. I also thought if Homura keep seeing her reflection she would go even further inside the mirror world. That's why this fight is so confusing and very meta. LOL, glad it's over. BUT, loving Homura's overdrive she kinda looks like Inuyasha here. Interesting though to find out in the end that Milani and Cyca were like family...I wonder if Shura destroying Cyca is going to bite him in the ass at the end of the arc??
I thought that the robots Shura demanded to destroy Shiki were going to obey his commands but when Shiki was telling Jinn what had actually happened my heart sank a bit. The robots wanted to protect him and hopefully hearing that the programmed robot didn't want to die will motivate Shiki even more to stop Shura and destroy the all-link system (which is going to go live in 20 hours).
The two shining stars, Hermit and Sister are badly injured. It's not as bad as it looks since Shura could probably do more damage. But, I hope that Sister clean heal herself and Hermit.
I'm surprised Shura took Witch. She doesn't look too injured which is good. He just probably took her to get a reaction out of Shiki and to lure him inside so they could fight again. I don't get why Couchpo didn't help when they were getting infiltrated by Shura. She didn't even go help Hermit or Sister since Shiki and Jinn were the first people to find them. Don't get me wrong, I like Couchpo but she's trying to lecture Shiki with, "this is hard on all of us." How is it hard on you? You just came on board recently and you're not even fighting...all you're doing is protecting the kitchen and the smiles but you failed with the second one. I don't know why she's even on the ship. Comedic relief? Lectures?
Okay, I spoke too soon about Witch not being too injured because Shura being the sadistic fiend has just pulled out his weapons and stabbed her a few times.
Weisz and Rebecca vs Nasseh and Lyra
Look like we're battling another Oceans 6 member, Nasseh. Nasseh "hypnotizes" Weisz and Rebecca. He makes Weisz scared of everything and Rebecca sad about everything. Though, even if they were "hypnotized" would they still be useful? Maybe not Weisz but perhaps Rebecca? Like she could be crying while using the Happy blasters. Though, they may be in a trance so they don't know what's happening around them. But, good thing the androids are here...Mosco, Pino, and Happy. Mosco wants to sumo wrestle Nasseh but gets overpowered pretty easily. Initially, Mosco believes that the Nasseh's ether gear only works on humans however, it's revealed that it can work on androids too so, he makes Mosco act like a lady. Happy distracts Nasseh and Pino is able to use her EMP which frees everyone but the androids get overpowered by Nasseh when his power returns followed by Rebecca and Weisz. Though, you would think when Happy and Pino told them what Nasseh's ether gear is they would destroy/fight him before his powers came back online but I'm afraid they are still too young. Smh. Before Weisz was put under another trance, he had timed his watch to setup arsenal. ARSENAL GOT AN UPGRADE THOOOO. Arsenal Mark 2!!!! Weisz says "requip" which gives me Erza vibes. Weisz figures out that Nasseh's ether gear is really a reverse ether gear. Finally we get a battle of the of the suits... Arsenal vs Sea Battle.
The next Oceans 6 member we meet is Lyra. Lyra takes away Rebecca for a special card game. Rebecca wakes up and she unconsciously time traveled in the future. It's supposed to be a scenario from the game she will play Lyra. The significance of this scene is that if Rebecca loses he legs she won't be able to use her ether gear anymore. I still don't like Noah...so seeing him in her future pissed me off. He needs a haircut. He looks better now than in the future. Guess he let himself go. Good. He needs his outer appearance to match his ugly personality.
The only good thing from this scene was how hot Shiki looks in the future...I mean HOT DAMNNN.
Oasis, Eraser, and his fleet are still battling with the imperial army. BUT THEN!!!! Justice swoops in a saves the day. But really, he uses GrAnD cHaRiOt and destroys a bunch of enemy ships. I wonder when Ziggy will join us with his presence. Will Elsie join the fun as well?
