My blog, my thoughts
So in talking with Taylor as she searches for an apartment I must share something with those who are reaching a new level in their life. Is it just me, or is anyone else tired of the Neon's, Japp's, MOTR, hip bar lifestyle? Am I the only one who prefers a bar where people don't have an agenda? To me that place is usually found somewhere like C&Ds or The Comet. This is a very Cincinnati blog post, but I just don't understand the needing to be in Over the Rhine or being seen at this and that place, or this and that event. Once upon a time I understood that need, but the older I get, the more I'm like "mehhh."
I wonder if I am alone in this.

Back in the Nati and cruising the coffeeshops, full force. I've noticed a few differences in myself and the city since returning from my three months overseas and I'm curious as to whether or not they'll remain feeling unusual long after the post-travel glow wears off.
I eat so effing slowly
I hate driving 10x more than I did before I left, which is really saying something
Cincinnati has, like, four interesting places to go after 10 p.m.
etc.
Maybe bullets two and three are a little negative...but Cinci is definitely redeemed by the fact that its music scene consists of more than translated reggae and techno remixes of Michael Jackson. It seems that I've really tapped into some extreme introversion since coming home and I have to say, maybe it's good for me. More time to read, write, and be overly critical of others...*sigh*
