Dear Town of Brookhaven, You have spent so many years trying to get rid of the nickname "Crookhaven" that you have rightfully received. And yet, the storm hit over 48 hours ago and not a single road within a mile of my house has been plowed. Please explain to me how the fuck it's possible for you to not even plow the residential streets? Please explain to me why my stepdad and neighbor had to resort to using a snowblower to make a path out of our dead end. Yes. There are cars in the way. Why is it that no one received a ticket for being on the road during a state of emergency for a nonemergency reason? Just tow all of the cars to junk yards and if car owners want the cars back, they have to pay for the tow, the impound fee as well as the ticket BEFORE they can get their cars back. That way, you get the cars off the streets, and you greedy ass mother fuckers get money for the town. I'd love to know what we are paying these town workers $75/hr for when they sat in the Home Depot and stop and shop parking lot all day yesterday waiting for it to be Sunday so they could get time and a half pay. Honestly, I have lost total confidence in this township. I am genuinely ashamed to live here now. I hope you all sleep well at night knowing people are STILL trapped in their homes. Go fuck yourselves.
