Remember November 2020 - Day #5 + #6: Hoshi Saga / Home Sheep Home

[ESP] Holaaa...llegando algo tarde, y esta vez es culpa mía de veras veras, me enfoqué demasiado con otras cosas que se me fue el tiempo, lo siento c''': Pero bueno, al menos ya traje lo que faltaba de ayer y anteayer, y eso es lo que importa (? Aquí les muestro un juego que podría considerar 'pasajero' (Home Sheep Home) y otro que retomé temporalmente hace poco (en 2018 creo) que jugaba con mayor frecuencia (Hoshi Saga: Find the star). Y considerando que Hoshi Saga en sí mismo solo se basa en...bueno, una estrella, decidí mejor hacer 'crossover' para que el dibujo no se viese tan vacío Eso sí, a estos tampoco los terminé en su 100%, aunque con la serie de Hoshi Saga me jugué de la primera entrega a la Ringoame y pude desbloquear algunos de sus niveles extras; la verdad es mi favorito personal en la categoría de juegos estilo 'rompecabezas'. Home Sheep Home por otro lado también fue divertido en su momento, no recuerdo bien por qué lo dejé tiempo después; aunque claro, no soy fan de jugar múltiples personajes en solo nOOO- Sobre mi trabajo aquí, la verdad el resultado me gustó, y de aquí aprendí una forma nueva de sombrear con solo lápiz y una borrita un poco sucia (poco convencional pero igual me funcionó(?). Además, preferí mantener el coloreado monocromático para hacer honor a los juegos iniciales de Hoshi saga (y para darme un respiro de los dibujos a color que cuestan más >:'''^) ) No obstante, si quieren compartir algo (sea del dibujo, los juegos o algo relacionado) no duden en hacérmelo saber ;^)

Heeey...coming here kinda late, and this time it was my actual fault, I was so focused on other stuff that I lost my sense of time, sorry c''':

But oh well, at least I already brought what was missing from yesterday and the day before it, and that's what matters (?

Here I show you all a game I'd consider 'transient/passing' (Home Sheep Home) and another one that I retook temporarily not too long ago (in 2018 I think) that I used to play more frequently (Hoshi Saga: Find the star). And considering Hoshi Saga itself is only based on...well, a star, I decided to do a 'crossover' instead so the drawing wouldn't look too empty.

Still though, I didn't finish these at their 100% either, although I played Hoshi Saga's series from the first game to the Rigoame one and could unlock some of its extra levels; honestly it's my personal favorite on the puzzle-styled games category. Home Sheep Home on the other hand was also fun on its moment, I don't clearly remember why I left it little afterwards; although yeah, I'm not really a fan of playing multiple characters in solo nOOO-

About my work over here, I liked the results honestly, and from here I learned a new shading way with only a pencil and a slightly graphite-dirty eraser (not really conventional but it still kind of worked(?). Also, I preferred to keep the monochromatic palette to honor better the initial Hoshi Saga games (and to give myself a break from the colored drawings that take more time and sources >:'''^) )

Nonetheless, If y'all wanna share something (either about the drawing, the games or something related) don't mind about letting me know ;^)

For some time now, I've been thinking that there was something off with the game.  In specific, the control scheme has been bothering me; it just hasn't been feeling as intuitive as it could be.

So, after some long, hard thinking, I've decided that I need to overhaul the movement system.

Aside from Desktop Dungeons, the biggest influence on Lejendary has been Parameters by NekoGames.  It's most powerful aspect has been its simplicity.  Since there are no graphics involved in the game, the player is forced to focus on what really matters - killing enemies and leveling up.

Does that sound familiar to you?

I started Lejendary with the idea of pretty much making a graphical version of Parameters and, as the game has progressed, it's moved more into the direction of Desktop Dungeons.  Well, I want to get back to making it more like Parameters.

I want to make a simple game with easy, fun controls.  And, I want that game to have the depth of a roguelike.  There are tons of ideas floating around in my head as to what that could mean and in the next couple of days, I'm going to explore those ideas.
