A great book that will educate you on how the federal government discriminated against Black people over the years and kept them in poverty. Many were not permitted to purchase homes even thought they served in the war and received a VA Bill, but banks would not and did not have to give them a loan. Most black families had to live in very low income communities or in dilapidated public housing. This was all done to keep the white American on top. It started in the 1800s and still persist today.
