“We need to talk.” No good conversation has ever come out of those four words. It was especially difficult because she was instigating this conversation. It’s been a few months of this, whatever this is, and Raven just needed to set some boundaries. It was driving her crazy, not knowing where they hell she stood. All afternoon she’d rehearsed what she was going to say to him but, now that she was face to face with him, her speech kinda fell apart.
As she stepped into the apartment, it should have felt comfortable considering how much time she’s spent there. It didn’t cause she had a weird feeling that this wouldn’t be her second home anymore. A part of her hoped she was wrong but, as the old saying goes, a tiger doesn’t change its stripes. Bellamy’s changed a lot since they’ve started to become more serious but, she wasn’t going to delude herself into thinking he was ready for a real relationship.
“So...um,” The stamp of a true intellectual. Arms crossed, fingers drumming against her skin nervously. It was a struggle to keep herself from pacing. “Maybe we should sit down.” It’s never been this hard to talk to him. Ever. The words just didn’t seem to want to come out of her mouth, sticking to her suddenly dry throat. As she sat down on the couch, she turned to face him.
“We’ve been sleeping with each other for over a year.” Technically speaking, it was longer than that. Their first time together was when Finn was still alive and she found out he cheated on her. After that, she focused on trying to mend things with him. Then when he passed away, it took her almost a year to think about having sex. Still, just for the sake of a time line, they’ve been sleeping together on a regular basis for over a year. “We’ve been dating for a few months and I figured it’s kinda time to discuss where this is going.” If it’s going anywhere.
