10 things
england-bound asked you: Loading...
TAG. YOU’RE IT. The rules are to state 10 random facts about yourself. Then, go to your ten favorite blogs and tell them they're it.
Finally figured out the last few things. Enjoy!
For as much of a reader & bookworm as I've always been, my personal library is tiny.
I learned how to read before I was two years old; I sat on my dad’s lap while he played Scrabble, moving the tiles and sounding out words for me.
Corollary to #2: I don’t remember learning how to play Scrabble or Boggle, or how to do word searches or crosswords.
Part of me absolutely loves that I've had so many different jobs. Part of me despairs of finding a career that fits.
I miss performing music in a group.
I can knit/crochet one item almost perfectly. Making a second (mitten, glove, sock) to match (or even coordinate) requires great incentive & motivation (or a tv show to watch).
I love AUs. AUs and crossovers. I enjoy seeing different perspectives and discussing them, their details and nuances (as long as it doesn't devolve into bickering).
I love having a pile of books to read. A pile of books means having Plans A-F of what to do with myself when I want to mentally check out.
I got into a conversation with my cousins about celebrity crushes. I vaguely knew the names of the ones they mentioned - they knew no one I said. Oops.
"Just do this _____ " paralyzes me. I can't "just do" whatever, and I freeze up when you say that so I can't even ask you to please break it down into steps, let me write them down, and then give me alternates. You want me to call to confirm deliveries? Give me a script to say, with options, and an escape route, written out: "I'm not sure, let me check and give you a call back."
yaaaay best friend loaned me laptop to use
(it's supposed to be finicky and idiosyncratic if not dramatic about not turning on, but it has only taken me a couple of tries so far. we'll see)
it's better than mine - the web-cam works O_O and the letter R actually has a key even if the Tab doesn't
well, and the whole 'still having hope of turning on' part.
