When someone keeps proving time after time they don't care about you and don't love you but yet you keep holding on cause your hoping it will change smh need to make a change

For a while we had each other. We talked for hours and hours. No topic was ever off limits. We laughed and cried and shared opinions and food. You were my all. My heart was always uneasy when you were afar. Everything I had going on my life led back to you. Today I sit alone staring at my phone. Remembering how things were. Wondering how you are. Thinking positively for you. Knowing I'm at my worst I only hope you are better. What still stabs my heart is the memory of your words, your laugh, and your sincerity. The power of one person can make a huge difference. I appreciate everything we did and didn't do. All the happy and sad times. All the contact through devices and face to face. I can't help but remember. But I have to forget. Thank you. I'm letting go.
