Despite the freezing temperatures yesterday during our ‪#‎Need2Feed‬ family night, we still managed to feed over 75 people....with a little help from a local bank.

Subhanallah, just realized that June 2014 is the 1 Year anniversary of our ‪#‎Need2Feed‬ project. So i calculated quickly and i just shocked myself:
We used to give out about 100 meals a week from June 2013 till September 2013. We then added another night and since then, along with Project ‪#‎Recycle‬ and the Dhul-Hijjah project, we on average give out about 950 plates of food every month.
So when you add that up, it is well over 10,000 meals!!! Mashaallah, Not bad for a bunch of young cats huh? of course, this ONLY happened and succeeded by the will of Allah (swt) and the awesome dedication of sincere brothers and sisters.
Inshaallah, next year, it will double.

#Need2Feed event occurs every Friday & Saturday night in Manhattan, NYC. Muslims Giving Back feeds on average about 150 homeless a week, which totals to over 600 a month. With project #Smile included, they are also given socks, blankets, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, hand sanitizer, washcloth and a snack. You can clearly see the impact on this continues deed. Many wait for us on Friday & Saturday nights because they know Muslims are coming with hot food and clothing. This is the way to fight poverty and hunger. Rasulullah (saw) said: "The deeds most loved by Allah (are those) done regularly, even if they are small."
