#nedriece

Everyone in Every major city Everywhere (and some side streets and across Azeroth) were saying the presents we’re available under the big tree in Orgrimmar.

Everywhere places smelled of Holly and whatsits and Kissing and sounds of wrapping paper being torn and games and laughter and-

Nedriece hadn’t failed, maybe? It’s still Winter’s Veil, right? She had even gotten a present to give! It’s just… It’s supposed to be wrapped with notes and…

She could see that she was making excuses, so she hauled her blind ass back to the island (don’t ask how; she didn’t see), and got to work.

The haphazardly wrapped items now bundled under her arm were taken to the only place that smelled most like greenery, dragon, and The Bossman all at the same time, and she just thoroughly hoped it was the right place because honestly, it could be anywhere on the island…

A painstakingly scribbled note was placed between the two gifts and then the sneaky demon hunter high tailed it out like nobody’s business.

It was near the end of the day.

Nedri was in the rookery when it happened, cleaning out nests and re-lining them with the fixed-up furs they had gotten from the Yeti Hunt. Molting season should be close to over, if it wasn't yet? So this is good timing for fresh fur and fresh nests for all the babies and dragons at Atlas! And for some, a little extra (fart) cushion here and there for general amusement?

She felt a plop on her head, so in a quick motion she stuck her hand on a paw, and with a determining sniff, almost beamed. "Oh! Udon! Hi hello!" She stuck her head around gently while he chirped and determined Leona's whereabouts, talking to Zaer closer to the entrance.

"Wanna hang out with me a while, while Leona's just over there?" she asked the little dragon. He chirruped in response, which Nedri took as affirmation, so she went along with the next nook... where the dragon inside gave Nedri a quick peck on the cheek before running off to play with the next set, surprising her so much she almost smushed the extra cushion she was putting under the linings - which would have given away the next surprises.

Instead, Nedri ended up blushing and patting the kissed spot. "Odd..." she said out loud, feeling Udon wiggle his tail into her hair and back. Was that a bow tied to it, or a plant? Nedri couldn't tell. Luckily the next dragon was too little to Know and scampered out without anything weird - but Nedri could hear some too-quiet coming from the common area. When she turned around to have herself a look...

Whoomph! Fwoosh! Thump! Brrrrrrt! Next thing she knew she was on the bottom of a dragon-pile, with every one of them giving her little dragon kisses and all her other fart-cushions deflated. Udon was chirruping happily; Nedri just doing her best to (unsuccessfully) wriggle herself out from the bottom of the pile, laughing all the while.

A very strange result indeed...

As the little NoodleKiss Dragon winged his way back around Leona and Zaer (whose reactions Nedri couldn't see... or smell even, from this position!), the dragon-pile would slowly deflate. Someone was probably going to have to explain this to her! Eventually...

Nedriece

I can’t see, so how did I know, you ask?

Why, the most helpful fellow told me, on the streets (paths?) of Orgrimmar! He asked me if I wanted a costume and - being always up for a little (really little) bit of fun - I said “Of course! It’s pirate’s day?! I’d love a costume!”

And then I heard, “Pirate!” and I was abducted.

Don’t get me wrong! Most days getting dragged through a portal into who-knows-where ends in a great time, one way or another! But I’m pretty sure those were claws carrying her, and the mighty beat of dragon wings. Were they?

And they didn’t even buy me dinner…

Well, the rest of the events are really hard to describe, but there is one good thing I learned! …That feeling of wind whipping across your body who-knows-how-many feet above ground feels amazing!

So here’s what I remember…

I was just leaving the tavern when I was stopped by some folks on the street:

It only gets weirder.

This dragon! Pops out of nowhere!

*I told you, I was stolen!

I wasn’t even drunk or anything! Promise!

I mean, it’s Pirate’s day, someone said Brewfest…

This guy (Real Pirate™) says he stole me, you know, to save me from the dragon. Not sure if I buy it, but he’s a pirate, so he knows what he’s talking about!

And then when we landed, everything smelled like grass and sea. There were a whole bunch of people, and I couldn’t see anything dangerous, except this one guy… (outlined in red)

I’m telling you, it’s a trip! Green means safe, Purple protect, and red is for danger…how is this guy all three?!? Just pick one!

And there’s a show on the boat?

The music was great, I swear. Even if the dancing ended up being a little more…interpretive, from what I could see? I am officially a Succulent Tart fan!!

Met a couple people. But this costume was only meant to be temporary (thank The Struggle; it was all kinds of itchy):

One of the folks was apparently flirtatious? But I don’t think he really liked me… Evidenced by the above.

But hey, after the show was a party!

More brew, more fun, and more dancing!

So we danced and danced, until of course I had to go back… The Struggle is real, my friends. The things I sacrifice…

Okay, so it’s not that bad, this time. I’m in love with the fight! Soon, we will take the fight even further, and I will travel to the planet in the sky; I feel it!

(At the Wyvern’s Tail, day after. The NPCs hear some weeeiiiirrrd stuff there.)
