Dagger-toothed Long-nosed Fruit Bat (Macroglossus minimus) This species of bat--also known as the long-tongued nectar bat, northern blossom bat, honey nectar bat, least blossom-bat, and lesser long-tongued fruit bat--is one of the smallest species of megabat with a wingspan of 15 cm (5.91 inches).
did you guys know that if we didn't have nectavore or frugivore bats we wouldn't have many fruits in the supermarket that we have today? such as guava, banana, mango, dragon fruit, and more? so instead of saying bats are useless or that we could live withiut them and shouldn't have them bc they "carry rabies," check again! bats are extremely important for ecological structure :3c
