The world of TLTWN is the real world. Yeah, the exact same Earth you know. Well, not exactly. See, leakages in reality cause the virtual (or dataroid) characters to manifest in reality. This means that there's going to be a lot of video game characters, but usually they fall into one of four categories
Human: These are just like you or me, assuming you are a human. two eyes, two ears, two arms, the like. They may have trained in some sort of special martial art, giving them boosted strength and/or special energy known as Ki.
Metahuman: These folk are similar to humans, just that they were born with special powers. Do not get them mixed up.Â
 Cast: As in, the Phantasy Star Online term for an android. They may look, act, or sound like humans, but they're not. They're robots.Machines. Definitely don't get them mixed up.
Anthro: aka Mobians, aka bipedal animals. These can be anything from anteaters to zebras, just that they're on two legs and can talk. They usually wear gloves.
