Neo grits her teeth as the exhaustion in her well-trained arm begins to flower through to the surface.
She had taken this simple assassination job because it seemed like easy money. The Belladonna’s were an affluent enough family that everyone who is anyone in the small town of Menagerie would be in attendance, including Neo’s target. What she hadn't accounted for, however, was the lack of god-damn space.
Lil Miss had been extremely clear on her instructions which included only one bullet was to be used, and that Neo could not move from her perch until the event was complete and everyone in attendance had gone.
Craning her neck, she once again looks through the small scope to see if she spies her target. She’s never seen Ruby Rose in person, although she’s met her mother, and from the teenage images of Ruby that Neo had been shown, she’d stick out. Since the death of her mother, both Ruby and her sister Yang had been seen very little in the public eye, thus current pictures of the girl were scarce.
A pop of firecrackers shakes Neo back into the current, and she rolls her shoulders before returning her eye to the scope. She slides her gaze over a few familiar faces that she wouldn't mind taking out, but refrains as her instructions stated. With her tight pony tail and even tighter ass, Weiss Schnee looks just as much a politician as her father. Beside her, her ever loyal assistant Penny who was always photographed a few feet behind any of the Schnee’s, watches with wide eyes as Weiss converses with a laid back Jaune Arc. Neo isn’t overly versed in the blonde’s business but she does know he creates the most passive weapons, which given his low business rates, wasn't doing Arc Angels Incorporated any favors.
Seated at the head of one of the long-decorated tables, Blake looks internally unamused with her guests but to her credit, she seems to make an attempt at conversation. With a tucked shirt and loose golden hair, Yang smiles at the girl with loving enthusiasm, and Neo rolls her eyes. She moves the site around the room a bit more, sliding over faces that do not belong to the target. Neo lets out an annoyed sigh before she sees a dash of red, and yanks back the scope.
Neo scowls as she realizes the red belongs to a male with his back to her, red trim on his green coat. His short cropped hair shifts over the fabric of his collar and he holds out an orange-clad hand. Neo watches as pale fingers tentically grip his hand, and she follows up the arm to shoulders and an exposed back. The dark red dress leaves the expanse of the girl's back exposed, her spiked short hair swaying as she walks and Neo notes the red rose tattooed on the girl's inner forearm.
Realization dawns on her, and Neo lines up the shot, one eye closed as she sets her sight, finger feather light on the trigger before she-
Ruby Rose turns around and all thought in Neo’s head is lost.
The girl is quite literally breathtaking. Her skin is pale aside from the rose-colored blush on her cheeks, brow bones arched like marble. A golden necklace adorns her delicate collarbones, and it wraps around her neck and down her back, a red gem dangling against her spine.
Ruby Rose is magnificent and Neo must kill her before she loses her nerve.
