every aspect of this outfit is intended to make her look like an extravagant guard dog. moon and star and wraithguard act as a show of political power, the spear disrupts Helseth's perception of her as an unarmed fighter, her hair is cut in a way that makes it look even more wild, her outfit is a direct compliment to Almalexia's (who I'll probably do later), and the hickeys. the hickeys. Almalexia looking her over and deciding she wants to leave physical marks to assert her ownership over Meri is a moment that I just THINK ABOUT sometimes.
