Enjoying a fresh roadtrip walk in the sun When you are an ox with readibly available double defense, you also got the balls to walk solo along the road. I do enjoy the nonchalante, "me-worry?"-attitude of this fellow on our trip to Gadjiwan. We had just left the main road from Tigneré, and the steep terrain down to the lowlands from the plateau demanded driving on very curvy roads. And of course the animals use the easier roads. They like walking strait down as much as we do. This guy is probably a N'Dama breed of african Sanga cattle, a pure sub-sahara african variant of cattle who has played a major role in Africa north to Egypt for thousands of years. The N'Dama is known to be the most resilient cattle in tsetse-infested areas. It is also resilient to ticks and the illness they often carries. The lowland between the Adamaoua-plateau, stretching into Nigeria, has been troubled with tsetse-flies and the illness they carry. Using animals resistant to the illness reduces the vectors available for spreading tsetse, improving the success of fighting and winning against another threat to human health. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%27Dama #cameroon #kamerun #tingier #gadjiwan #ox #bovine #ndama #sanga #cattle #2015CE #portrait #roadtrip #sun #road #dust #gravel #terraroxa #Nikkor1 #1Nikkor #10_30mm #Nikon #nikon1 #J1 (ved Laoré De Falkoumré, Adamaoua, Cameroon) https://www.instagram.com/p/1fMoOWD-vS/?utm_medium=tumblr
