And I just wanna say to anyone who might be thinking about coming out:

I am proud of you for thinking about something that can be so difficult, scary, and even painful sometimes. I am proud of you for having such courage. And even if you don't come out, that doesn't mean you aren't brave or strong; you ARE! And if the current political climate and societal attitudes about queerness, and most especially transness, are what's holding you back from coming out, I completely understand. It is scary out here, and we are being targeted in multiple places across the world. They're making laws against us. They're trying to label some of us as terrorists. They're voicing their hate much more now. So if that keeps you from coming out, I get it, and it's okay. If you feel safer staying closeted right now, there is no shame in that and nothing wrong with that. Yes, it can be incredibly freeing to come out, and yes, none of us should feel like we have to hide. But again, I really, truly understand. And no one has the right to judge you for not coming out, so don't listen to anyone who might try to make you feel lesser for not being out. You are beautiful and perfect and remarkable, closeted or not, and your identity is, too!! And this community will always always ALWAYS be waiting to welcome you fully with open arms if/when you do come out. You will always have a place here, my loves; never let anyone tell you or make you feel differently 🩵🩷🤍🩷🩵

And if you're already out, I'm proud of you, too!! Especially if you came out recently during such a rough time for queer people. I know that was hard, and I'm proud of you for conquering what countless people find to be a hard task. You are so brave, too, and you deserve praise for that bravery! Never forget how perfect and precious you are, too. This community and this world wouldn't be the same without you, and we are so happy to have you! 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

National Coming Out Day didn’t exist when I came out / was outed. There were haters then, there are haters now, and I am STILL HERE. I say this not to diminish the experience of any 2SLGBTQIA+ person of any age. On the contrary, I encourage—even implore—you to take heart.

There have always been Two Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual people. There always will be. Celebrate, even if to say only to yourself, “Yes. I am.”

We are all part of future history. Happy National Coming Out Day.

If you came out today, I am so proud of you. You did something really brave and difficult. I am wishing you nothing but joy.

If you didn't come out today, I am proud of you too. No matter what the reason is, whether you are already out, or not at all. Whether you're scared, unsure, in danger, not ready, or just not feeling it, I am so proud of you.

You are a part of this community, you are loved and this day is yours, for you to participate as much or as little as you choose. The decision to come out is yours alone, and it can happen today, any day, or never, however you feel about it you are valid.
