‘Hey, are you awake?’ The message was sent at 1:50 AM, ten minutes before the intimate pair decided to meet up. Behind closed doors, Tommy and Nico were four time exes. It would be expected for them to remain as close friends, but both of them knew their feelings were beyond platonic. So here they were in the middle of the night, sneaking off to their first date in several months. Truthfully, Tommy didn’t have much prepared except for a couple of random things stuffed into a duffel bag and his everyday items in a small, black, leather backpack that he usually carried around.
“Psst, Nico.” Tommy whispered against the door of the younger male’s room. “Hurry up, let’s go.” He didn’t know what was taking the other so long. Tommy had been ready since twenty minutes ago, but the longer the other male took, the more nervous he became.
‘What if he fell asleep? What if he cancelled without telling me?
