NCIS:LA Ratings - Nov. Sweeps
I forgot to do this last week!
The official Nielsen November sweeps period ran from Oct. 27th through Nov 23rd. For NCIS:LA, that means it included 8x06 (Home is Where the Heart Is), 8x07 (Crazy Train), 8x08 (Parallel Resistors), and 8x09 (Glasnost).
Our averages during those weeks (keeping in mind that the week 8x07 aired was also the same night as Game 5 of the World Series, so numbers were low that night) are:
Demo: 1.4 (compared to 1.5 for the season average thus far) Viewers: 10.80 million (compared to 10.64 million for the season average thus far)
With last year’s numbers during the November sweeps period (1.3 demo and 8.01 million viewers), it’s obviously looking like a great move having LA on Sundays at 8 (or 8:30, or 8:4x).Â
Obviously we still have the second half of the season to go, when numbers typically drop after the initial post-hiatus boost, but I hope these numbers mean we’re in for a S9 renewal!
CBS has been doing a good job promoting LA’s move to Sundays and their premiere event - I’ve seen the promo many times this week (including twice three four times during this football game) and the football announcers tonight have mentioned it as well. That makes me happy.

My first real S8 speculation (based on the BTS IG pics from today) - Kensi and Deeks (maybe even whole team) in a helicopter crash. Kensi is seriously injured. Out of commission for a couple of months.
The new 8pm timeslot for LA next season does mean I have more time to fangirl after the episodes air without losing massive amounts of sleep. That’s a win for sure.
