A while ago I ran a weekly Twitter chat under the hashtag #NBfolks; unfortunately, as often happens, life got in the way and, doing everything solo on top of a full-time job and-and-and --- stuff happens, you know how it is --- it got sidelined a bit. Which was a huge shame, because there was a great community cropping up and the discussions got really interesting.
So I'm thinking it might be time to give it another shot, but I know my limits: I'm going to need help. I wish I had the time to commit, but the reality is I don't. So I'm looking for two or three nonbinary lovelies to share the workload, coming up with discussion starters and questions, moderating the hour-long Twitter chat each week, and generally taking an equal share in keeping things on the go.
#NBfolks was never my thing, as such --- it was always supposed to be community-led and participant-based. But you always need a focal point, someone to kick things off, and I'm more than happy to be one of those people, but I've unfortunately proved to myself I can't do it alone. So, in the interests of fairness to the community, I'm opening a call for co-leaders.
Requirements are that you have a Twitter account (I don't care how long you've been there; active is better, of course, but not an absolute necessity), are 18 or over, and have a couple of hours a week to commit --- ideally one for the Twitter chat itself and a few minutes here and there to plan out questions and keep up with the other leaders (maybe via WhatsApp or Telegram for ease?). Can't make every single week? No worries, stuff happens (heck, don't even have an exact day and time planned yet) --- as long as you can make most of them, it's no trouble.
Think this sounds like fun? Let me know and we'll talk!
