I haven’t felt very excited about art or writing lately which kinda sucks oof (thanks art block), but!! I have been very excited about my new friends and kpop, so I decided to art journal about them :)

I tend to art journal really messily bc I’m wayyy too lazy to actually do calligraphy and paint things properly lmao so this is just me messing around and trying to have fun with it haha

The First Step - Part 1 of the Birthday Gifts for @yutos-laugh

His heart still beats fast as he walks up to her apartment door. She has been living her for as long as they have been together, but still it makes him so nervous. They have been together for so long, but don't live together because it would be inconvenient for both of their work. Riya works usually in the weekends, so the rest of the days she usually stays over at his place, but today is a special day so Yuto promised her to pick her up for a surprise. He takes a deep breath and knocks on the door. He hears a soft 'I will be right there' coming from inside. He laughs when he hears the soft panic in her voice. Within 30 seconds she opens the door. The thing Yuto always notices at first are her eyes. They are so big and beautiful. Her dark brown eyes always sparkle when she sees him. A soft smile appears on her face. He loves her hair like that, just the way it falls down her shoulders and back. It is very curly and looks beautiful with the white dress she is wearing. A dress he really loved on her. It accentuated her figure and beautiful tan skin so well.

"Heey Yuto?" Riya asks and smiles. "Sorry I- I think you look... breathtaking". "Dork..." she says jokingly and puts her hair behind her ear only for it to fall back as soon as she looks down shyly. "Are you ready?" Yuto asks. "Yes, but I only have to grab my purse for a sec". Moments like these remember Yuto why his heart keeps racing whenever he walks up to her apartment. Just because he knows he will see Riya again. She still takes his breath away... everyday.

Today, it is Riya's birthday and like usual Yuto has something planned. The weather is absolutely perfect. It is warm, but not to warm. The sun still shines and makes her literally glow. He loves to hear her talk, but also loves how she listens to him. She always has something interesting to talk about. She smiles at him and takes his hand. Riya would call him crazy if he told her that she makes him all soft and warm when she is near. Yuto smiles as she curiously asks where he is taking her. They walk to Yuto's car and he opens the door for her.

As they pull up to the restaurant, Riya looks excited. It is a small, but a very fancy restaurant. Wooseok told Yuto it is really a great place to go on a date or to celebrate something. Yuto smiles as Riya quickly plans a kiss on his cheek. Seeing her so happy makes him happy as well. "Good evening and welcome at 'Love Letter'. How can I help you?" the butler says. "I made a reservation under the name Adachi Riya" Yuto says. Riya laughs at Yuto's cheesiness for making a reservation under that name, like they are a married couple. The butler looks in the book and nods enthusiastically. "The rest of your group already arrived earlier, follow me". The butler leads them to the table. On their way Riya whispers to Yuto "The rest of your group?". Before Yuto can answer her question, she sees the answer herself. Sitting on the table are Wooseok, Shinwon and their girlfriends. "O my god, you guys!". "Heey there is our birthday girl!" Yuna says. She stands up and kisses Riya on both cheeks and hugs her. Just like Riya she is dressed very fancy. The other girl stands up as well. it is Shinwon's girlfriend, Marleen. Her dress is filled with colourful flowers. Yuto smiles at how fitting it is to her personality. Yuto greets his friends and the other girls.

"You look beautiful Riya!" Marleen says and puts her hand on Riya's. "I wasn't really sure about the dress... I feel like I am underdressed" she laughs. "Are you kidding?" Yuna says. "You look great" Wooseok and Yuna say in sync. They look at each other and laugh. "Awh look how cute... They already finish each other's sentences" Shinwon says teasing. They all laugh except for Wooseok and Yuna. "At least we are not in the stage that we talk in crazy codes" Wooseok says. Yuto laughs. "What is that suppose to mean" he asks. Yuna laughs and says "Marleen doesn't even have to speak in a full sentence and Shinwon will know what she means". Yuto hears Riya laugh next to him. It makes him smile even more. "They legit have codes words for everything" Yuna laughs. "Ow shut up, we are adorable" Marleen says jokingly.

"Cotton candy" yuna says to Riya. Yuto is still not used to the nickname Yuna started to give Riya, but he really likes it. "We all got you a gift" she continues and smiles brightly. "You have been so supportive and sweet to us, we really wanted to give you something special" Marleen says. Shinwon puts a envelope in front of Riya. Yuto is confused. He didn't know they got her a gift too. Riya opens it. Seeing her eyes sparkle makes Yuto curious too. "This... I can't take this... This too much" Riya says. Yuto leans towards her. He sees to plane tickets to Japan. Riya had been talking with him about going to Japan for so long, but the trip was way too expensive. Riya and Yuto have been saving money but it was never enough to travel and stay there for a long time. "You deserve this honey!" Marleen says. Wooseok nods and says "I know how hard you two have been working to finally travel to Japan so we thought it would be time to help you out". Yuto is so surprised and touched as well. Riya turns to Yuto. Her eyes shine and her cheeks must hurt from smiling so much. "This is ... We are so thankful guys...". "We are thankful too, Riya. You are so caring for the people you love and we really wanted to do something back, so we hope you two will have a great time".

Riya hugs and thanks them all. In the mean the butlers came with the food they ordered. "I am telling you, the food is amazing here" Wooseok says. "Yeah he is right. We went here years ago for his parents anniversary" Yuna says. Marleen doesn't even here them and is just starstruck by the amazing food. "Shinwon! You should try this" She says and offers him a piece. Riya puts her hand on Yuto's. He looks at her. "Thank you, for everything. I am so happy you invited them too and I am happy I have you". Yuto's heart skips a beat. "I didn't even give you my gift yet". The two other couples stop talking and turn to Riya and Yuto. Yuto nervously grabs a little box out of his pocket. "Now before everybody starts freaking out, I am looking at you Marleen, but it is not a ring". Riya laughs while Marleen looks sad and offended. Yuna laughs too. Marleen has been talking about marriage ever since she saw how happy Yuto makes Riya. "Dear Riya. I love you a lot and I wanted to give you something special as well. It is not a plane ticket to Japan, but it still has the same meaning" he says. He opens to reveal a beautiful necklace. "This used to be my grandmothers and mothers necklace and they told me to give it to a girl I know I want to share my life with. You are that girl, Riya". He puts the necklace around your neck. the small pendant has a tulip on it. Yuto sees happy tears in her eyes. "Yuto... Thank you so much... I want to stay with you my whole life too".
