Westclox pocket watch with a dial and watch paper to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the NAWCC, by Philadelphia Chapter 1 from the June 1968 Silver Jubilee Convention.
During the 1955 NAWCC National Convention, members took a tour of the White House and presented a sundial to President and Mrs. Eisenhower. The gold plated sundial was set to the longitude and latitude of the Eisenhower's farm in Gettysburg, PA and inscribed with a quote from Henry van Dyke Jr.'s poem "Time Is."
In honor of the NAWCC 75th Diamond Jubilee this week we have artifacts from past national conventions on display in the library.
One-of-a-kind, RGM NAWCC 75th Anniversary Commemorative Chronograph Wristwatch (Model 455T)
Inspired by the great classic chronographs from the 1940's, this modern version of a classic style is a fitting way to remember the NAWCC's 75th anniversary year. The case-back is hand-engraved with the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors, Inc.'s Tommy Ticker logo. The Dial bears the words "NAWCC 75 Years."
This piece will be unveiled during the For All Time Celebration Event on July 18th. Bidding will begin and continue through the 75th Anniversary week celebration. The auction winner will be announced Saturday evening.
