maleeha knew how long it had been, but felt the urge to check her phone for the umpteenth time that evening anyway. casually scrolling through her text messages and call log to see maybe, just maybe, she had somehow missed a message or call. the feeling of dread and embarrassment had finally settled in at the pit of her stomach as the waitress made her rounds once more, stopping at the empty table. “ would you like another one, miss? “ the woman asked, her tone now clearly laced with empathy. a simple nod was provided by maleeha, her gaze still focused down until the woman walked away to fulfill her order. “ --fuck me. “ the girl mumbled to herself as she slammed her phone down on the table, her free hand moving up to brush away the stray locks that had fallen in front of her face. she refused to make eye contact with those around her, knowing that they knew fully well what had happened to her tonight. why did she even bother to dress nicely for him? why did she expect anything from him when in the end, it always ended the same. pulling her jacket closer to her chest, maleeha made the mental note of leaving once she had finished the new drink that was just ordered. she was finished with being the sob story of the restaurant tonight, and was already reconfirming her belief that dating was just not her forté.

     Granted she gave herself a day to recuperate from her immense traveling, she was fully ready to surprise Kam tonight. It was hard biting her tongue and not slipping up, she couldn’t post on her social media or elude to being back in town without blowing her cover. She’s been practically snickering the whole way to Kam’s, she was excited to say the very least to be reunited with her. Lanette with equipped with stories from the tour but most importantly, gifts. Noala isn’t one to date. God, she hadn’t been on a date since her entertainment career took of in 2011. In the beginning she loved the attention that men gave her, but now it’s just a drag. “Oh, what can you do?”, “Would you mind taking me back to your place?”, the constant catcalls and men who are only in it for the money she makes. Noala tried convincing her persistent, annoying, best friend’s homosexual brother, Andy, that this such a dumb idea. As soon as someone found out who she was, they do one of two things. Bolt or attempt to stick it and dip. She never really thought how a real relationship would actually go for her, so her hopes were low and prepared for the usual. Failure. The blonde petite couldn’t really complain about the setting. It was a nice casual wood-fire grill with discreet section behind some stairs to the upstairs loft section.
