D.I.Y. HOMEMADE HAIR BLEACH
Last weekend, I dyed my hair because it looked so plain. I used to have brownish ombre hair then black roots appeared and I'm not really confident with black hair. I waited for 6 months to dye my hair again just so it won't get damaged.
The color that I used was a mixture of Medium Blonde and Dark Reddish Brown from Martix So Color. I wanted my hair to look vibrant and bright so I wouldn't look pale. When it was done, I was unhappy with the outcome. It was still dark as if nothing happened (what I saw) and I wanted my hair to be lighter.
I know for a fact that it will get lighter eventually but I wanted to make the process fast so I did my research. I found this Vitamin C treatment used as an alternative for bleach without damaging your hair. So, I tried it after a week and it did work!
I want to share with you guys the steps on how to make your hair look lighter the natural way. So, here are the steps:
1. Vitamin C (15-30 tablets)
1. First, you have to crush Vitamin C tablets to a fine powder. You can use a stone, rolling pin or a this vitamin C bottle as tool for crushing.
2. Next step is to mix crushed vitamin C with shampoo. You'll be needing 3-4 tablespoons of shampoo but it depends with the length of your hair. The mixture should look like liquid cement or pudding.
3. Apply the mixture to hair and make sure it is evenly coated.
4. Use a shower cap or a plastic bag to cover your hair to keep it heated. Leave it for at least 2 hours. Then rinse.
5. Use a conditioner after you wash the Vitamin C mixture. It's important to keep your hair moisturized after this treatment.
6. Dry hair and you're all set!
Here's my before and after proof:
P.S. I looked haggard so I used my cat face instead :)
NOTE: If you want your hair to be a bit more lighter than mine, soak it for more than 2 hours and if you're not contented with the outcome yet, do this treatment once a week. Remember that this may cause dryness of hair so don't forget to use conditioner.
