“What’s the current status update, Lexi?” Zyra asked, leading against the wall

“Frankly, plans are fucked.” Lexi sighed, “That whole LARPing thing is gonna go out the window real fast and become a minor project, so we’re swapping over to things we should have done instead of it, like Dras’nali.”

“At least we’re making some progress that’s what matters.”

“Yeah... say, why’d you come to check on me, it’s usually Glitch or Vaanis poking me.”

“The flames were acting wonky, pretty sure that means you’re having an existential crisis of some kind, and I just wanted to say it’ll be alright.”

Lexi drew a short smile, “Thanks... it’s nice to hear some positivity coming from here, even if it’s just echoed from outside.”

Zyra chuckled, “Lexi, you don’t have to be meta all the time, just chill out, and relax, me and Hunter are getting some drinks back on Kaeawynn, you wanna join us?”

“I didn’t really get a break on my last break, so sure. Thanks Zyra.”

“So, how’s the work going?” Vaanis asked, leaning over the desk.

“Two done, 38 to go, Vaanis we get that you’re impatient but we’re making really good progress here. Ever since the Vale got messed up well...”

“Yeah, yeah, I get it, but still, you guys said you’d be starting on my project around now!”

Glitch sighed, “Yeah, back then we thought it was only a few parts that were affected, but since the whole damn Vale is messed up, we’ve got to fix the builders for every single class! And rewire them to suit our needs!”

Vaanis pouted, “But surely you have time for... me?”

“Vaanis, first of all, you’re getting rusty with your flirting, second, I wouldn’t be attracted to you regardless, and third, even if by some miracle I was, Lexi has final say on this stuff, and frankly, we’ll get to your project in February.”

“Can you promise me a Valentine’s Day release date at least?”

“No but we’re aiming for it, okay?”

“Fine...”

“We’re having guests today.” Glitch said, setting up the table

“Really? Now? Who even is it?” Lexi sighed

“Well, it’s kinda... it’s Rhien.”

“Why did you invite her? We don’t need her for another five projects or so!”

“She was getting lonely! Besides, it’s kinda mean, leaving her there just across the bay from Senia’s place.”

“It’s character development!”

Glitch rolled her eyes, “Speaking of development, how’s the ULARP thing coming along? We’ve put everything on hold for you so...”

“Uh... I’ve got the groundwork for all the classes and... ten of 1320 abilities done.”

“There’s no way you’re finishing this on time.”

“Well no, but it’s not a good project if you can get it done on time.”

“Yeah, alright, Rhien’s coming here, I’ll tell everyone we’ve got time off until February.”

“Hey!-”

“You canceled my project.”

Lexi sighed, it was going to be one of those days, “I didn’t cancel it, Vaanis, I just put it on haitus until we’re good.”

“You’ve put it off for 5-10 years, that’s as good as canceling it! What was wrong with the idea?”

“Well nothing, it’s just the kind of thing that needs art for sure, and I can’t do that.”

“You’ve got Sabrina.”

“You and I both know she’s only as good as I am right now, and until we find someone to work with us, she isn’t getting better.”

“Fine, but we want a game soon.”

“I still can’t believe you’re serious about this.”

“Look, Seeli and G14 are invested in this, and so am I. We want this to work out, and you said you’d help. You promised.”

“Fine, next project is yours, but we’re finishing ULARP first.”

“Makes sense, hey, are there fluffbolds in it?”

“Not rules as written, but yes.”

“Whew, that was quite a week,” Lexi said, chuckling.

“8 days, actually, but yeah, we did good for such a short timespan.” Glitch smiled, looking up from the computer screen. The file was uploading, it’d only be a few minutes now.

“Yeah but like... we did a thing! A whole thing!”

“That’s what we’re here to do, right?” Glitch smirked.

“Yeah, damn. So what’s next, we making that ULARP thing or moving onto Dras’nali?” Lexi asked, cocking her head.

“Think the plan was ULARP next, and getting that done ASAP, then Dras’nali as a more long-term project.”

“Cool, cool. So, is it uploaded yet?”
