Photos from the native tank tonight! Nobody in the tank likes photo night.
Trimming day! Mostly vallisneria but also some pondweed too. It brightened up the tank a little, I suppose, but I really need to rescape come the new year.

Well, 28-30 vallisneria out, a hundred or more to go. Just looking to make some room for fish to actually swim!
Bluespotted photo spam! All 3 of the newbies were out tonight; Superstar is the top guy with beautiful red fins! What a good looking fish.
Last pic is size difference with the original Bluespotted I had.
So one of the things I love about stem plants is that once you cut them, you can just plant them back in the substrate and voila, you have two plants! That works well when you have a half dozen strands of the plant. Well, after that I had 12. Then 24. And now I'm at that point where I literally can plant no more and have to chuck the clippings :( boooooo.
I'm aware it's a sign of healthy plants and pruning encourages new growth and all that I just feel bad getting rid of healthy plants!
