dude i cant believe people will argue against socialistic policies or ideas in capitalist society because "it will ruin the economy" like mf I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE ECONOMY. people who value the economy over human rights to access free necessities are the exact reason why there's a large homeless population in america. look at scandanavia, they're still capitalist, but their policies are more aligned with socialistic ideas and their economy is doing fine. yk why? its because as long as workers are being exploited for their labor and industries arent nationalized while still turning a major profit, the economy will be fine. and actually, im sure the economy would be fine if we nationalized every major industry. luxury items would still be on the table and enough people have enough trust fund money to buy shit they dont need. PLUS i fucking hate the economy, everything should be free if there are those out there who cant afford even one thing. and thats the unfortunate truth we live in. so no, owen, i dont care that it would ruin the economy, i want to see the working class flourish and thrive and if that means making everything free then sobeit - Petey

Remember when Bernie was the only Presidential candidate who ran on nationalizing energy production, and now over 3 million residents are powerless in freezing temps because Texas deregulated their energy grid to appease the fossil fuel industry?
