A bunch of my (mostly Shadow Milk and Pure Vanilla) headcanons about agere I posted on discord
- I think Shadow Milk first doesn't really have any stuff for his regression. He doesn't really know what's happening to begin with and he just feels confused. He starts craving it though- Especially when he starts interacting more with society and sees toys and such in stores. He can first just put it off as fascination with dolls and such, which he always had. But then he sees pacifiers and thinks "I wonder that it'd be like to use one."
Even after he discovers that he goes into a childlike state and wants children/baby items, he doesn't get them unless he gets them as gift, which might open him up more when he realizes how comforting they are or if he manages to get over his shame over regressing by either getting comforted and told it's okay or meeting others like him.
I don't think he has a specific age. He likes to do things for for all ages, even some adult stuff (like horror movies, depending on his mood) but it never settles for a proper age.
He'd prefer to just. Not talk. Which is probably why he is a big fan of pacifiers and being treated like a younger kid- He doesn't have to stress about talking too much. He gets to just exist.
He likes doing kinda school like things? He was never the student before and usually hes always the smart one but it feels good being told "good job!" When he fills out his math homework. Depending on how dissociated or off he feels, he might want easier or harder ones.
Loves bath time but can't undress around others while regressed. This troubles him, especially when his limbs feel heavy and don't move how they should. Usually he will just need a moment alone to undress and while it might take a moment, he will usually succeed. Once he's in the bath, he feels safe again and he'd probably really enjoy having his hair washed.
Stuffies and dolls have been used as a comfort for his regression forever. He doesn't like them because of his regression but it's certainly helpful to it that they're a common children's toy.
- Doughael thinks they should be a caregiver rather than a little but they're almost exclusively a regressor. They're a good leader usually, but taking care of regressors leaves them utterly overwhelmed. They're also a smaller regressor and usually needs extensive care.
-Shadow Milk is an infant to toddler regressors with sometimes bigger kid moments.
But his age is more a suggestion, he will do older kid activities (or even adult ones) with his paci in. Like watching a documentary about Smth scary
-Pure Vanilla and Shadow Milk both have baby and toddler headspaces. Shadow Milk is kinda vague as I may have mentioned before, because he may act bigger than he would say his mental age is in the moment. His age is more how he desires to be treated (more/less intensive care).
Either way, they're very different. Shadow Milk is a very fussy (and sometimes very angry) baby/toddler while Pure Vanilla is usually calm unless something actively upsets him. It also depends what triggered the regression (both are involuntary regressors, with occasionally purposefully triggering it for relaxation).
Both have higher age ranges, with Shadow Milk being likely to be any age when regressing and Vanilla tending to be smaller more than older kid. It is more symptomatic/less treated for Shadow Milk, so it shows through temper tantrums and similar even when he is trying to "appear" adult like. Pure Vanilla is better at managing it, or suppresses it until hes somewhere private/safe.
- Shadow Milk because he never had a childhood, doesn't have any "nostalgic" children items. He doe like old time things, but he doesn't have much of a deeper connection to them compared to modern things either. He probably had a healthy mix of modern and old time inspired items. Probably some made himself, especially outfits he wears when small.
Pure Vanilla is nostalgic for old wooden dolls, nature, and maybe one or two stuffies. He is definitely more of a old timey baby and overtly prefers them. It's harder to find that kind of stuff nowadays. Especially like pacifier for adult cookies based on more old timey soothers.
I think that's all of the ones I can find, I hope this isn't too messy. If things are contradictory it's probably because of the forgetting disorder + different set of mindsets working in these headcanons. Tried to keep it in order of when I posted them.
